현재 진행형[Present continuous] 

 

1. I am doing something

= I am in the middle of doing it ; l've started doing it and I haven't finished yet.

 

Im doing my homwork. which means I haven't finished yet.

Im going to the airport to meet my girlfriend.

 

2. The action is not necessarily happening at the time of speaking.

 

I am reading a reall good book at the moment.(On the phone)

= At the moment I talk, I am not reading a book. but it could be used that way.

 

3. I can use the present continuous with today, this week, this year something like that.

= which isn't the terms " at the moment ". It refer to period around now

 

Im looking over the sheet that you gave me today. 

 

4. We use the present continuous when we talk about changes happening around now

especially, with these verbs. 

 

get, change, become, increase, rise, fall, grow, improve, begin, start

 

Are you getting on the taxi to go to the museum today? ( not Do you get on the taxi to go to museum today?)
